What's Up Down Under Adventure: Day 14

It's sad, as we are down to our last few days of the trip. We're up early, have breakfast and then pack up and hit the Victoria Hwy and head to Broome. The highway is fully sealed so it's an easy drive, and after about 3-4 hours we arrive at the Broome caravan park. The park is very busy, with a cue of RV’s and caravans waiting, so we have to wait about half an hour before we can check in. I have a cabin at the park for the last 2 nights, and once the vans are all set up, we head down to the famous Cable Beach to take some shots. 


I have seen Cable Beach on the TV before, but I can say they don’t do it justice. It's amazing! If you have a 4WD, you can drive onto the beach at low tide. There are rocks to navigate over, which with a 4WD is easy. I can’t believe the number of cars on the beach. Everyone’s set with their eskies and enjoying the view, sun and water. We find a spot to park and then Macca and the crew do some filming before we get to explore the awesome beach. We come prepared with nibbles and drinks and spend the next couple of hours relaxing on the beach. 


We are then treated to the most wonderful sunset you can imagine! Check out the pics, however as I have always said, I don’t think they do it justice. The colours are mind blowing as the sun sets over the water. Once all the shoots have been completed, we head back to the park and Macca lets me drive his Chevy back, so I get to do a bit of 4WDing over the rocks. We then all go out to dinner at one of the local pubs and have a wonderful night out. A much-needed break for all our chefs!

Stay Connected During your Aussie Adventures

Aussies are known to be an adventurous bunch and have always loved to explore our great country. Typically the best way we know how to explore our land is to travel in 4x4’s, caravans or trekking across the remote wilderness.  One thing that you will find out very quickly whilst travelling across the vast terrain, is that your mobile phone is basically rendered useless once you travel outside our major capital and regional centres. Most mobile networks cover 98% -99% of the population, which is great, however in land mass this equates to only around 20% of Australia having mobile coverage, the other 80% where you need communications even more, has nothing.
